YOUR DEAM | OUR SPEC

Every build begins with a dream. Together, we’ll distill that dream, and create a build specification to define the intended purpose, the body type, suspension system, wheels, options. finishes, coating and accessories.

QUOTATION | confirmation | DEPOSIT

Once a build spec has been agreed on, I’ll work with LBS-NL and my suppliers to create a quotation for your review. Final change requests will be incorporated. You’ll then be asked to sign-off on the spec and quotation.

To confirm the order, a 50% deposit will be requested. On receipt, design and fabrication will commence.

MOTORCYCLE DELIVERY

You may deliver your “tug” in person. If you’d prefer to ship your bike, I can arrange for safe shipment by a trusted transporter in an enclosed trailer. You must be the owner, no lienholders. Your bike must be titled, insured and have current registration.

pre- INSPECTION | service | repair

On delivery, I’ll give your motorcycle a functional and safety inspection. I’ll consult with you on any concerns or issues.

Should service or repairs be required, subject to your approval, I can arrange to have performed at a local BMW Motorrad dealership.

BUILD PHASE 1 | COMPONENT vefification

Whether new or used, all components for the build will be inspected. Inventory will be checked against the build parts list. Parts will be sent out if painting is required at this time.

BUILD PHASE 2 | chassis

The actual build begins with fitting the subframe to the motorcycle.

The chassis is then assembled, to include the sidecar trailing arm, shock, wheel and body mounts.

The rigging is installed to mate the chassis to the motorcycle. Initial alignment is performed.

If ordered, leading link fork , brake lines, and wheel are installed.

Pre-wiring for the sidecar and all electrically-powered accessories is fabricated and installed.

BUILD PHASE 3 | assembly

Body is fitted to the chassis.

Electrically-powered accessories and outlets are installed. Power distribution/fuse blocks, relays, switches, wiring, connectors and sidecar harness disconnect are installed and tested. Final wiring is installed, sleeved, secured an tested. Fender, seat and windshield are installed. All remaining accessories and mounts are installed.

First road test. Aligment fine-tuned.

BUILD PHASE 4 | ELECTRICAL

Electrically-powered accessories and outlets are installed. Power distribution/fuse blocks, relays, switches, wiring, connectors and sidecar harness disconnect are installed. Final wiring is installed, sleeved, secured and tested. Fender, seat and windshield are installed.

All remaining accessories and mounts are installed.
